Counterpart is currently accepting CVs for an Irregular Migration Specialist Consultantfor the USAID-funded Strengthening Democratic Governance IDIQ ($90 million) and Public Effectiveness and Localization TO 1 in Honduras. The purpose of the IDIQ is to build the systemic accountability and responsiveness of the Government of Honduras (GOH) to citizens, while also strengthening civil society, to increase trust, safeguard human rights, and incentivize Hondurans to remain in their country and participate in their democracy. The purpose of TO 1 is to 1) Improve the effective governance capacity, transparency, accountability and citizen-responsiveness of GOH institutions; and 2) Provide localization, learning, adapting, monitoring and information support services to implement activities for all task orders and objectives of the SDG IDIQ. The Consultant will report directly to the Associate Director of Governance, but will work closely with Counterpart’s field staff (once hired) to ensure high quality deliverables are executed in a timely manner.

Counterpart International is currently seeking an Security and Logistics Manager (SLM) to support the Iraq Civil Society Activity (ICSA) project. The overall objective of ICSA is to increase citizen engagement in the public sphere, especially among women and youth, while supporting civil society organizations (CSOs) to connect to and empower citizens and one another, thereby enhancing CSO resilience, increasing its credibility and effectiveness. The expected result is a more active and inclusive civil society sector that effectively fosters change and contributes to a more equitable and democratic Iraq.   The SLM will build and manage safety, security and logistics capacity in two regions in Iraq – Erbil and Baghdad. The SLM will be responsible for ensuring overall quality support in the areas of security, procurement, transportation, communication, equipment inventory and maintenance and reporting, and will work closely with the Human Resources and Office Manager and several drivers.   This role requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in security management, logistics, and coordination and will report to the Director of Finance and Operations.

The Activity is a five-year initiative funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), which seeks to expand the Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) enabling environment and strengthen the organizational, research, networking, and financial capacity for nine local advocacy NGOs in Timor-Leste to provide increased evidence-based, sustainable advocacy services on behalf of citizens.   The Activity currently seeks to contract a consultant to develop leadership training and coaching for its nine NGO partners. This assignment will involve performing a needs assessment, developing training content, conducting training-of-trainers for the Activity staff, and co-facilitating an initial training session. The Activity envisions this intervention will target leadership of the NGO partners and seek to enhance capacities in areas such as leadership and learning, executive intelligence, and organizational culture and capital, among other identified needs. The consultant will deliver the requested services both remotely from their home of record and in-person in Dili, Timor-Leste in early 2024.

The GESI Specialist will provide leadership and technical guidance to the project team, its grantees, and other partners by providing technical leadership in design and delivery of gender-related training and mentorship and ensure that the project goal, objectives, and targets for gender are successfully achieved.   The GESI Specialist is a full-time position based in Tegucigalpa, Honduras with possible travel to other districts where the project is implemented, such as San Pedro de Sula.
