Counterpart International is currently seeking a short-term Social Network Analysis (SNA) Consultant for the Civil Society Strengthening Program (CSSP), a five-year initiative funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Haiti. As a sub-partner, Counterpart is supporting Papyrus, a local Haitian non-governmental organization, to implement CSSP. The project goal is to strengthen the capacity of Haitian civil society organizations (CSOs), including faith-based organizations and those working with the diaspora that are registered and operating in Haiti. Through this initiative, participating CSOs will be better equipped to develop, implement, and monitor their advocacy and service-delivery activities to the highest quality standards. Counterpart is working across the project objectives to provide technical support to the CSSP program and consortium partners as needed in the areas of thinking and working politically, advocacy, and media. Prioritizing localization, Counterpart is conducting all activities with an eye to transfer skills and mentor our Haitian-based partners to support local ownership and sustainability.   Under Result 2 (Build comprehensive, efficient, and effective networks of CSOs at the national and regional levels), Counterpart will work to map the connections between Haitian CSOs to strengthen their collaborative capabilities. We are seeking a Social Network Analysis (SNA) Consultant to perform the following duties: - Design the methodology and data collection instruments - Oversee the data collection process, including training enumerators - Conduct data analysis and develop graphic representation of the SNA - Build the capacity of CSSP staff to oversee subsequent exercises and conduct interviews At this time, we expect the consultant will fulfill the scope of work remotely, communicating virtually with Counterpart and our partners in Haiti. We will reassess the possibility of travel as the project progresses and the conditions in Haiti evolve.

Under the leadership of the Chief of Party, the Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) will be a member of the project’s Senior Management Team and will work as part of a dynamic team to ensure the delivery of high-quality programming by managing, overseeing, and reporting on key programmatic and technical aspects of the McGovern-Dole program in compliance with USDA and Counterpart regulations, procedures, and guidelines. The incumbent will ensure positive and effective relationships with all partners and government stakeholders and improve the skills and qualifications of the project team. This position is based in Nouakchott.   The DCOP will support the COP in overall project management and will oversee the regional offices and staff to of the field-based teams in Brakna, Gorgol, and Tagant to ensure successful program administration and implementation of field activities. The DCOP will oversee the Advocacy, Communication and Outreach Officer and support compliant and effective external communications and relationship management with stakeholders, partners, and project participants. The position also oversees the Local and Regional Procurement (LRP) component, working closely with the LRP Technical Lead on the sourcing and procurement of local and regional commodities to distribute at local school levels. The DCOP will assume project oversight in the COP’s absence.

Ecuador’s New Partnerships in Open Government (NPOG) program is a two-year initiative funded by USAID and implemented by Counterpart International in partnership with local and international organizations. The purpose of this program is to advance transparency and accountability in governance by enhancing the capacity of civil society, the Government of Ecuador (GoE), academia, and the private sector to implement the Open Government Partnership (OGP) in Ecuador, including the adoption of open government management models, reforms, and citizen participation and accountability mechanisms. Counterpart is currently seeking an Accountant/Bookkeeper to help set up, and thereafter implement, the financial accounting and bookkeeping of the NPOG program. This individual will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in accounting and compliance with the local law and Counterpart´s procedures. The position involves reconciliation, processing, and auditing of project financial records, preparing monthly invoices, and preparing financial reports. The Accountant/Bookkeeper will report to the Operations Manager in Ecuador. This position is based in Quito, Ecuador.
