Counterpart International (CPI) is currently seeking for 2 Communications and Logistics Intern (CLI) to support daily activities implemented by the Rights and Dignity Project; which is a 5-year salvadoran-based Project supported by the United States Agency for the International Development (USAID) and Implemented by Counterpart International and Partners El Salvador. Additionally, this position is will report to the Communications Specialist and is expected to work closely with the Logistics and Communications Support Consultant and the Designer Coordinator. This is a 6 months locally based internship; Salvadoran citizens are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

 

Primary Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Communications Specialist, the incumbent is expected to contribute to:

  • Support the communications area in the implementation of the Communications Strategy to achieve visibility of the Project's work at a local and international level.
  • Propose and support in the coordination, preparation and logistics of activities and events to be implemented within the framework of the Project's FY6 Work Plan.
  • Collect, elaborate and edit information on the activities and work of the Project in order to disseminate it through innovative tools to reach strategic audiences.
  • Support in researching and writing Project beneficiary success stories.
  • Produce photographs to help expand the Project's photo bank.
  • Elaborate audiovisual and graphic materials for the implementation of the Communication Strategy.
  • Manage interviews and media coverage for the promotion of events.
  • Work closely with the Communications Support Consultant and the Designer Coordinator.
  • Assist with administrative tasks.
  • Participate in meetings, take notes, and draft memos.
  • Other activities as assigned by the team.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Senior student in Communications, Marketing or related fields;
  • Knowledge in innovation and design tools.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills in English;
  • Writing and/or editing experience for online and/or print publications;
  • Knowledge and experience in organizing campaigns/events;
  • Multi-media and social media skills;
  • Creative open-minded team player with strong initiative and a willingness to learn;
  • Ability to work within a multi-cultural and diverse team.
