    Counterpart International is currently seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer to support the anticipated Niger Government Accountability and Policy Reform opportunity, which seeks to create space and effective mechanisms to demand government actions and hold the government accountable for policy reform. This is a full-time position. Nigerien Nationals are strongly encouraged to apply.


    The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will be responsible for overseeing and leading all program M&E activities, including implementing the Monitoring, Evalution and Learning (MEL) Plan, data collection, documentation, analysis, and reporting. This position requires experience leading MEL activities and applying adaptive management principles on USAID or other donor projects. 



    • Relevant degree in a related field;


    • Minimum of 4-6 years of progressively responsible experience in international development;
    • Previous experience managing MEL processes on donor-funded programs; 
    • Experience working on USAID-funded programs highly preferred;  
    • Prior experience assessing accountability and policy reform programs, strongly preferred;
    • Previous experience working in Niger and/or the West Africa region is highly desired;
    • Experience working effectively with government officials, non-governmental partners, and USAID and/or other donors; 
    • Experience working with diverse staff.


    • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English required;
    • Professional proficiency in French strongly preferred.
